Our immigration journey transplants us to a new culture and environment. As we grapple with this newness, we tend to hold tightly to practices, rituals, and patterns we inherit, hoping that they will make us feel closer to our roots. Sometimes these practices bring us more pain than joy.
“Things We Carry” is a video series launched by Saahas in partnership with BharatFM to explore the sweet and sour experiences, adventures and misadventures of immigrants as we try to reconcile different cultures and practices.

Tanvi is passionate about improving reproductive healthcare access and outcomes for marginalized populations and has a background in family planning and abortion clinical care.
